Today is the last day to drop off items to consign or donate at the Parenthesis Sale in Oak Park, so I will be running around today getting my last few items together and later on volutneering. But before I dive in, here are a few deals:
PRICE DROP
- Those who said we only had to wait until March for a cheaper iPad 2 were correct. When Apple announced “the new iPad” yesterday at $499, they also dropped the price of an iPad 2 to $399. Refurbished by Apple, $349. “Seller refurbished” on eBay, as low as $255. Now, I can’t decide if I want to be cheap and get an iPad 2, or be cutting edge for once and get a “new iPad”!
COUPONS
- Buy one, get one free creations at Coldstone Creamery with this printable coupon. Good through March 14.
- Save 25% at World Market with coupon code WMFRIENDS627. For food and beverages, the discount is only 10%.
- At The Children’s Place, spend $50 or more and take 25% off with the coupon code W4G2012. If you only want to spend $40, take 20% off with coupon code X4G2012. Or, no matter what you spend, you can take 15% off with coupon code Y4G2012. Or print coupons for the same values to use in store. Good through March 11.
- Take 20% off at Dohlphin Organics (fancy, vegan baby lotions and such) with coupon code KIWI20.
- AmEx has a new program where you can earn coupons by tweeting company sponsored hashtags. Read all about it here.
FREEBIES
- Like Lipton on Facebook for a free sample of their new instant tea mix.
- Get a free greeting card from Cardstore with coupon code CCE2246. Today only, while supplies last. (Thanks, Money Saving Mom.)
DAILY DEALS
- I have never been satisfied with a commercial cleaning company (compared to independent cleaning ladies I have hired), but this offer looks tempting because of the low price: Two people, cleaning for two hours, $49, from Pro Cleaning Services,* via Groupon. Extra fee of $10 if you live outside Chicago city limits but inside Cook county. Cleaning supplies not included.
- I should REALLY see the inside of the Unity Temple before I move away from Oak Park! On Living Social today, a pair of tickets is $9, regular price $18.*
- I love deals for deal sits: On Plum District today, get $20 worth of “peeks” from Peeka.com for $10. Get whats from what now? Apparently Peeka sells discounted gift cards. You pay $1 just to reveal the price of the gift card you want to buy — but then you still have to buy it if you want it. I’m not really sure I see the value here! This is a “Plum Steal,” which means you can’t use credits toward it and I won’t earn anything for promoting it, but still, sounds interesting.
