You Can Do This: Use Jewel Coupon Books to Get Cheap or Free Lasagna

It’s finally time to do this deal — in fact I did it tonight and netted a $5.99 Marie Calendar’s lasagna for free!

If you receive Jewel mailers and you picked up the “Bring the Party Home” coupon booklet for free at Jewel, you can get a (small) free frozen lasagna:

This is the coupon book to look for in-store, “Bring the Party Home”:

This is the coupon book that would have arrived  in your mailbox, “Freshly Made Holiday”:

These are the coupons you need:

  1. $3 off any frozen lasagna, in ”Bring the Party Home.” It’s a manufacturer’s coupon.
  2. $3 off “any Frozen,” in “Freshly Made Holiday.” It’s a store coupon.

Remember that you can use one store coupon and one manufacturer’s coupon on a single item at Jewel (and most stores).

Right now, Marie Callendar’s has a frozen lasagna on sale for $5.99. I think mine was “meat lovers” or something like that.

$5.99 lasagna
– $3.00 store coupon
– $3.00 manufacturer’s coupon

By the way, the $3 off lasagna coupon said that I didn’t have a qualifying item, so for some reason it did not recognize the Marie Callendar’s lasagna. But the cashier — who is also a manager — pushed it through.

The $3 off frozen coupon expires 11/18.  The lasagna coupon is good all the way until Dec. 31, and you can pick up another booklet every time you visit if you’d like to stock up on lasagna. (Like, if you’re Cathy. Ack!)

By the way, why is there a manufacturer’s coupon for any brand lasanga? It’s issued by a wine company, Gnarly Head Cellars. But the coupon explicitly says, “no wine purchase required.” Love it!

More Highlights of These Coupon Books

“Bring the Party Home” (found in-store): $3 off Bailey’s Irish Cream. Otherwise, all wine rebates, which I won’t use because I hate trying to peel labels off wine bottles.

“Freshly Made Holiday” (In the mail, but you may also find a version in-store.): Two $4 off $40 coupons (different people may get coupons for different amounts). $1/3 Jewel brand canned fruit or vegetables (aren’t they discontinuing Jewel brand?). $1/2 Ragu.

More Coupon Combo Ideas:

  • Buy 2 Ragu sauce. Use both the $1/2 Ragu from “Freshly Made Holiday” (manufacturer’s coupon) and the  free Essential Everyday pasta store coupon from the “Save Over $100″ book.
  • Buy a Huggies diapers jumbo pack. Combine the $1 off store coupon from “Save Over $100″ with the $3 off Little Movers Slip On manufacturer’s coupon, or the $1.50 off any Huggies coupon, both from the 10/23 SmartSource, for a total discount of $2.50-$4.50.
